GENERAL HELPEmail support ↗support@birdhere.comIDENTIFICATION FEEDBACKReport a difficult sound ↗Include the suggested species, region and conditions—not private audio unless you deliberately choose to share it.

Please include your iPhone model, iOS version, BirdHere version, installed region and the exact message shown. Never send payment-card details, passwords or precise private locations.

BirdHere cannot hear a bird

  1. Confirm microphone permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
  2. Move away from speech, wind hitting the phone, traffic or running water when possible.
  3. Point the bottom microphone generally toward the sound without covering it.
  4. Use a short, clear passage. A distant single call may not contain enough evidence.
  5. Check that the installed region matches where you are.

BirdHere may intentionally return no bird when the evidence is weak. That is safer than forcing a confident-looking wrong name.

Regional model packs

Your home pack works offline after installation. Additional regions download only when you request them. If a download fails, use a stable Wi-Fi connection, confirm adequate storage, retry, and avoid closing the app during installation. Every pack must pass an integrity check before BirdHere accepts it.

Automatic selection uses rounded optional location. Without GPS, choose the region manually. Installed packs remain usable offline.

Photos do not appear

Bird photos are never fetched in the background. Tap the photo request while online. Availability depends on an exact iNaturalist species match and a reusable CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA image with attribution. Some species may have no eligible image.

World Pass and restore

World Pass is a one-time, non-consumable App Store purchase. Apple handles billing and storefront pricing. If an eligible purchase is not recognized, open World Pass and choose Restore Purchases while signed into the Apple Account used to buy it. Restart the app after Apple confirms restoration.

For charges, receipts or refunds, use Apple’s purchase support. We cannot view payment-card details or issue App Store refunds directly.

Delete or export local data

Individual journal entries and eligible saved recordings can be removed in the app. World Pass enables CSV export and saved-audio controls. Deleting BirdHere removes its local app container; App Store purchase history remains with Apple so the entitlement can be restored.
